The Latest News on the Fire Relief:

Just when we thought the affects of this fire couldn’t possibly reach us, we find many of our own parishioners facing evacuations and risking their own lives in the service of others. We have created this page to keep our St. Dominic’s Parishioners up to date with the latest relief efforts and how they can serve those in need.

Gift Cards for Victims:

As our North Bay Fires response enters the next phase of support from evacuation centers meeting basic needs to a relocation effort, our charitable partners Society of St. Vincent de Paul and north bay Catholic Schools, need gift cards to help families establish new households. We’ve collected over $1700 toward this program for Fire Relief.

Love is Thicker Thank Smoke, A Walk for Fire Relief

A group of school families organized a community walk that over 250 parishioners and families attended and another 100 supported through purchase of t-shirts!

Love is Thicker Than Smoke, A 5K Walk for Fire Relief took place on Saturday, November 4th, 8AM-10:30AM at St. Patrick-St. Vincent High School in Vallejo. Click here to view our slideshow.

The walk generated over $15,500 that will benefit the Anova School for children and adults with high-functioning Autism, St. Rose Elementary School and SVdP of Santa Rosa County. Great job St. Dominic School for leading this great event!

Partnering with Local Faith Communities

Fr. Jerome reached out to the Northgate Christian Community and offered support in working together as a whole community for those in need. They successfully put in place a system for receiving and distributing donated items for evacuation shelters in Santa Rosa and Napa and we are so proud of our parishioners that stepped up to help with these efforts in the first days of the Fire Response.

Emergency Resources for Our Families at Risk

We recommend the following list of emergency information programs for the latest updates in your area and how to prepare in case of evacuation.

Get alerted about emergencies and other important community news by signing up for our Emergency Alert System. This system enables the City of Benicia to provide you with critical information quickly.

You will receive time-sensitive messages wherever you specify, such as your home, mobile or business phones, email address, text messages and more. You pick where, you pick how.
