Music Ministry – Choirs

We welcome our new music director Dr. Cyril Deaconoff, we are so excited to have him on staff!

Dr. Cyril Deaconoff is a composer, sound designer, mixing engineer, conductor, and organist. Originally from Russia, he is a graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Indiana University and San Francisco Conservatory of Music. After moving to the U.S., he completed his doctoral degree at Indiana University Bloomington in 2006. Several of his recent works were published by E.C. Schirmer. As a film composer, Cyril‘s score for To Rest in Peace was recorded at Skywalker Sound, Lucas Films in 2018. His recent album “Voices of Our Time” was released on Orpheus label in 2020. In 2021 Cyril was invited to join The Recording Academy (Grammys) as a voting member. He has taught at Indiana University and Monterey Peninsula College. Dr. Deaconoff previously served at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in San Francisco and Immaculate Heart of Mary in Belmont. He previously directed American Canyon Singers and I Cantori di Carmel. Saturday 5:00pm

This is a contemporary choir using an eclectic mix of current and traditional songs/hymns. Our musicians include guitars, bass and drums.  Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 7:30pm in the Church.

Sunday 7:30 a.m.

Music at this Mass is led by a cantor.
 

Sunday 9:00 a.m.

This is a contemporary choir.

This is a traditional choir. 
Rehearsals are Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Mary Magdalene Room.
