June 19th, 2016 Deacon Errol’s Homily

How to face death, before death. We are often given a second chance at life through some experience related to death, death of a loved one or a glimpse of our own mortality. To save  one’s life, you must lose it. Whoever loses his life for Jesus will save it. Jesus teaches us about conversion and yet we have such difficulty learning it. Jesus wants us to read reality with a view of both life and death.



June 19th, 2016 Father’s Day (Fr. David)

Fr. David’s Homily from June 19th, Father’s Day at St. Dominic’s. The light of Christ and how we transmit it to one another. We are baptized and one in Christ.



June 12th, 2016 Forgiveness in the Journey of Conversion

Fr. Jerome preaches on June 12th at St. Dominic’s about having an inner conversion and coming to terms with our sins through the stories of King David and the sinful woman. King David is confronted and so he repents and accepts responsibilities and seeks to come back into right relationship with God.  The woman seeks Jesus out on her own and wants to humble herself at Christ and repents with a sorrowful heart.Both sinners find grace and love that heals.

Preaching on the Apostles James’ and John’s frustration by not being welcomed by the Samaritans and their lack of acceptance of the message they delivered of Jesus. How should we deal with and act on our  feelings of anger for good and out of response to injustice?



May 22nd, 2016 Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity

Fr. Corwin’s homily at St. Dominic’s on The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. Can we say,  “I believe” to things we can’t possibly understand? We are confident because of the last line, we believe in One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. We trust the Church has our interest and the Spirit guiding it to Truth and understanding of the Trinity. The more we live the faith, the more God reveals to us.
