Fr. Vincent’s Homily at St. Dominic’s. We are called to be prophets and share the Good News of God’s love for us through Jesus. The word of God is like a fire, the more you read and pray on it the more the fire builds and you are compelled to share it. We are made in the image and likeness of God and therefore we thirst and seek to be reunited with our Creator.

Fr. John Marie Bingham’s last homily at St. Dominic’s in Benicia. Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity and Father’s Day.Who are you? I am a Christian, with that statement you say all that is necessary. When Moses asks God who is speaking at the burning bush, God answers.”I Am Who Am.” With this statement He hides more than He reveals, until God sends his only Son to reveal his love for the world and the Holy Trinity. He is 3 persons in One Almighty God.

June 8th, Pentecost Sunday

Pentecost has all of the drama and action that could be imagined in a Hollywood action scene, just image the imagery of the fire Holy Spirit that splits into a dozen flames and lands on the heads of the Apostles and Mary. The Holy Spirit gave the gift of language to the apostles to share God’s love and message to all people, they become the conduits. They spoke and people responded. The Holy Spirit gives each of us special gifts- all intended for the Glory of God, not for our personal glory.
