When you go to visit this sacred place, you can't help but feel that some awesome experience took place because there is an awesome silence there. This is the place that Jesus said, "this is my body, it will be given up for many. Do this in memory of me." Early Christians devoted themselves to the breaking of the bread as a community, just as we continue so that we encounter Jesus with the same fundamental structure as 2000 years ago. If it weren't for the Eucharist that brings us together, sacrament of unity.
